The Last Knight has Optimus Prime searching through the cosmos for the Quintessons, the beings believed to be responsible for the creation of the Transformers race. Meanwhile back at home, Wahlberg’s Cade Yeager will be facing a new alien threat that brings Lennox (and possibly Epps) back into duty. Isabela Moner has signed on as the female lead, though no character details have been revealed. The movie also has Jerrod Carmichael from NBC’s The Carmichael Show as the comedic relief this time out. Shooting will take place in Detroit, with various on-location shoots planned to take place throughout the world.

The story will explore the character’s origin, tracking the immortal Princess Diana’s rise as a warrior on the mythic island of Themyscira – and her eventual quest beyond its boundaries to the realm of ordinary men, where she will fight for this outside world amid the backdrop of World War I. Hints of the movie are foreshadowed in Batman v Superman, and the Wonder Woman film will include a modern framing story set after the events of that clash of heroes, according to producer Charles Roven.

Marvel’s Spiderman movie is set to reboot the franchise and bring the iconic Marvel character into The Avengers team. We will see the first appearance of Spider-man in Captain America: Civil War and he’ll be wearing two suits.

Why two suits? Rumor has it, in the beginning of the movie Peter Parker is supposed to be dawning a homemade suit, and by the end of the film Tony Stark will be handing him the iconic red and blue suit we all know and love.

In the spirit of its worldwide blockbuster Godzilla, Legendary Pictures presents a bold new take on the mythos of another iconic beast with KONG: SKULL ISLAND, which stars Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers and Thor series). Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer) and written by John Gatins (Flight) and Max Borenstein (Godzilla), KONG: SKULL ISLAND will fully immerse audiences in the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of the apes as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the treacherous, primordial island. Legendary’s story honors the foundations of existing King Kong lore, but places it in an entirely new, distinct timeline. Thomas Tull (Godzilla, The Dark Knight, Pacific Rim) and Jon Jashni (Godzilla, upcoming Warcraft) will produce and Alex Garcia (Godzilla) will executive produce. The film will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D by Universal Pictures.

Along the way, they will reconnect with former comrades Chris Redfield (Wentworth Miller), Claire Redfield (Ali Larter), and Kmart (Spencer Locke). Their epic battle will lead them back to where it all began in the dark mansion built by Umbrella founder Lord Ozwell E. Spencer and the deep underground research and development center known as The Hive, where The Red Queen plots total destruction over the human race.

On June 20, 2014, Rian Johnson was announced to write and direct Episode VIII and write Episode IX. Kathleen Kennedy, Ram Bergman, Lawrence Kasdan, Simon Kinberg will serve as producers and JJ Abrams as executive producer. Steve Yedlin will serve as cinematographer. Johnson confirmed in August 2014 that he would direct Episode VIII. It is scheduled for release on May 26, 2017.

In March 2015, Oscar Isaac confirmed he would reprise his Force Awakens role of Poe Dameron in Episode VIII. In July 2015, it was reported that Benicio del Toro was being considered for a villain for Episode VIII, and del Toro later confirmed that he was cast. In September 2015, it was reported that Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tatiana Maslany, Gina Rodriguez and Olivia Cooke are on the shortlist for two separate parts. In November 2015, Jimmy Vee was cast as R2-D2, replacing Kenny Baker.

Like The Force Awakens, filming for Episode VIII will take place at Pinewood Studios near London. Principal filming is scheduled to begin in January 2016. In September 2015, some pre-production filming took place on the island of Skellig Michael, Ireland to take advantage of better weather conditions. In an interview with Wired, Abrams has stated that the film’s script is complete. In December 2015, Hamill, Isaac, Christie, and Boyega were confirmed to reprise their roles as Luke Skywalker, Poe Dameron, Captain Phasma and Finn, respectively. Kennedy announced on December 17, 2015 at the London premiere for The Force Awakens that the entire cast would return for Episode VIII: “There will be a handful of new cast members in Episode VIII but also all the cast members you see here tonight will be in it as well”, therefore also confirming Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Carrie Fisher and Daisy Ridley reprising as well.
